Location: Please note this is an in-office position, located at 10104 103 Avenue NW, Bell Tower, 26th Floor, Edmonton, AB T5J0H6. The successful candidate will work within the Virtual Small Business Advice team.  Regular hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, scheduled between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

 

 

Manager, Virtual Advice is responsible for contributing to the overall national Small Business strategy and leading a team of virtual advisors who are the primary Small Business Advisor assigned to multiple branches across Canada. The Manager leads and oversees a team of Small Business Virtual Advisors ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • The incumbent is responsible for creating a customer-focused environment that supports all aspects of Small Business banking. This is achieved on a team level by providing subject matter expertise to the customer and Branch Manager, via email, phone, and video meetings (internal only).

 

  • The Manager will help set activity and sales-based goals on an individual and team level in collaboration with Small Business and the Sr Manager, Virtual Advice. The Manager will be accountable for achieving these goals.

 

  • The Manager will look for ways to increase revenue generation, control or reduce costs through the streamlining of existing processes or functions as well as introducing new initiatives that will benefit the Branch Network and the Small Business segment at large.

 

  • The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the training and development of the team. This includes functional product and procedural training as well as sales excellence coaching. In the ongoing interaction with his/her team of advisors, the incumbent ensures service consistent with our Core Values of integrity, respect, accountability, and passion.

  • The incumbent must possess well-developed interpersonal, communication, coordination, judgment, negotiation, and analytical skills in order to communicate requirements/issues/concerns to the appropriate areas.

 

  • Effective sales management skills are essential, along with the ability to influence and motivate others.  The incumbent must set a positive example of change leadership and encourage others to do the same.

 

 

  • A high degree of flexibility is required to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions.  Strong PC skills are essential as the incumbent uses a PC for a variety of sales, sales management and customer correspondence activities.

 

  • Must be able to effectively articulate their views to team members, branch partners, and strategic partners in Small Business. Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
