Title: Director, European Head of Enterprise Risk, Global Risk Management / GBM
Position & Team Overview/Highlights:
Provides strategic direction, leadership and oversight for Europe enterprise risk management team working in close coordination with Director, European head of Operational Risk and reporting directly to SIDAC and Regional CROs.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for the Enterprise in Europe and accountable for Operational Risk at SIDAC, including the ongoing development of Europe’s Enterprise Risk framework including risk identification and assessment, review of the Europe Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Framework, Risk Appetite Metrics and Enterprise risk reporting.
Provides oversight of Risk Analytics and Model risk in Europe as well as the oversight of the Model Validation & Approval (MVA) and overall Stress Testing programs in Europe.
Lead the development of the Environmental & Climate risk management framework including governance documentation and reporting to various management committees and the Board.
Responsible for governance, oversight and second line review and challenge of Records Management processes in line with the BNS policy adopted in Europe. Acts as a member of the Europe Risk Management’s Leadership Team
What You’ll Bring:
- Experienced leader with relevant experience in Enterprise Risk and Other Non-Financial Risks
- Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing frameworks, applying the methodologies, design of controls and testing.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles based on global and local regulatory requirements and best practice, from a financial services perspective.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and influence a broad range of stakeholders and build constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
