Title: Associate Director, Structured Credit – Origination and Distribution, GBM / GCM, Ireland

 

Position & Team Overview/Highlights:

 

The role will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market share by developing and executing the bank’s Global Structured Credit strategy within the European market.  The individual must show ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional clients, while also working closely with various internal functions including the North American structuring and trading teams, Global Risk Management, and all other affiliated groups that aligns with the firm’s overall business goals and objectives. 

 

What You’ll Do:

The products will be primarily focused around providing life-cycle financing for Private Credit funds including: broadly syndicated and middle market CLOs, ABL (Asset-Based Lending) facilities and fund finance products.  Additionally other products will include granular securitisations (eg. ABS, RMBS) as well as SRT (Significant Risk Transfer) together with any current or future growth initiative. This role contributes to the overall success of the Structured Credit unit within Global Capital Markets ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Overview of some of the key accountabilities:-

  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients to identify new business opportunities
  • Detailed knowledge of transaction structures, and demonstrate ability to communicate the firm’s capabilities to clients
  • Identifying new clients and building relationships with key decision-making clients
  • Assisting with preparation of credit submissions for adjudication by Global Risk Management  
  • Review and assist with execution of legal documentation associated with lending opportunities

 

The role has been identified as a Central Bank of Ireland prescribed Controlled Function. The incumbent is therefore required to have the relevant fitness and probity to carry out the role and responsibilities in such a manner that the incumbent can comply with the Central Bank of Ireland 2011 Fitness & Probity Standards, as applicable to the role.   In general, the Fitness & Probity Standards require the role holder to:

  • be competent and capable;
  • act honestly, ethically and with integrity; and
  • be financially sound.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Relevant experience within Private Credit/Structured Credit business
  • structuring/sales/syndication/origination roles (structuring experience particularly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree a plus but not necessary)
  • Proven track record of success in achieving targets and building long-term client relationships
  • Client focused mindset and deep understanding of the structured credit markets and investor base
  • Existing relationships with CLO and Private Debt managers is a plus.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
