About the Role
Join Scotiabank’s dynamic Financial Institutions & Sponsors team in Europe, supporting leading institutional clients while driving strategic growth. This role offers the opportunity to shape client relationships, contribute to high-profile transactions, and play a key part in the expansion of our Dublin-based FIS team. 


Key Responsibilities
•    Champion a customer-focused, high-performance culture that deepens client relationships and drives business growth.
•    Develop and execute complex credit proposals and client submissions in line with Scotiabank’s risk appetite and policies.
•    Analyse financial statements, forecasts, and risk models to provide strategic recommendations.
•    Coordinate with internal partners across Global Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets.
•    Maintain client compliance, oversee account management, and ensure documentation accuracy.
•    Research and pursue new business opportunities across the Financial Institutions sector.
•    Support annual planning, marketing initiatives, and cross-functional projects to drive team success.


What You’ll Bring
•    Strong analytical and financial acumen with proven experience in corporate or institutional banking.
•    Experience in the Insurance and/or Fund Finance sectors preferred.
•    Deep understanding of credit processes, risk culture, and client portfolio management.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines with minimal supervision.
•    High ethical standards, professionalism, and commitment to integrity at all times.
•    MBA, CFA, ACT or CA designation preferred (or equivalent experience).
•    Second language (Spanish or French) desirable.
