With Aspire, you’ll gain early exposure to Commercial Banking by working on meaningful projects and learning from experienced professionals. You’ll have opportunities to: 

 

  • Support Relationship Managers in proactively acquiring new clients by applying a disciplined sales approach, gaining a deep understanding of client needs, and assisting throughout the loan process. 

  • Strengthen client relationships by expanding your knowledge of our clients’ businesses and the industries in which they operate, and by building a robust network with partners both within Roynat and across Scotiabank. 

  • Take initiative in underwriting requirements by following up with clients, performing comprehensive financial analysis, preparing investment summaries, and identifying strategies to mitigate risk. 

  • Facilitate seamless client interactions with Roynat by delivering a full range of products and services, ensuring efficient turnaround times and a client-focused experience. 

  • Foster a client-focused culture by consistently demonstrating adaptability, energy, and a personable approach in all client interactions. 

  • Ensure that the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture are considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 

  • Advanced coursework in corporate finance, valuation, financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, or investment analysis is considered an asset 

  • You have strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • You have good presentation skills and consistently demonstrate professionalism 

  • You have a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about Commercial Banking
