Purpose

 

The Senior Manager, Structured Credit, Mortgage Capital Markets is accountable for leading all technology delivery and operations supporting the buildout and ongoing management of the US Mortgage Capital Markets business within the Structured Credit environment. Reporting to the SVP & Global Head, Global Banking & Markets Engineering, this leader will drive the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of technology platforms and operational processes that enable scalable, compliant, and efficient mortgage capital markets activities.

This role will partner closely with business stakeholders across trading, risk, finance, and operations to deliver robust solutions for lending facilities, TBA forwards, client onboarding, and platform launches targeting non-bank mortgage originators. The Senior Manager will ensure all technology initiatives align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk frameworks, while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include program management for phased business buildout, vendor selection and management, operational readiness, and the implementation of best-in-class controls for data integrity and risk mitigation. The incumbent will build and lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage relationships with institutional investors and external partners, and represent the business in senior leadership forums.


Success in this role requires deep expertise in mortgage capital markets technology, structured credit, and US regulatory environments, as well as proven leadership in delivering complex, mission-critical programs. The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the bank’s mortgage capital markets franchise.

 

What You'll Do

 

•    Lead and drive a technology-focused culture across the team to enable scalable, compliant, and client-centric solutions for US Mortgage Capital Markets within Structured Credit.
•    Oversee all aspects of technology delivery and operations for mortgage capital markets products, including lending facilities, TBA forwards, and client onboarding for non-bank mortgage originators.
•    Ensure business and technology strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed in compliance with US regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk frameworks.
•    Deliver and manage complex technology programs, including platform buildout, integration, and operational readiness, across multiple business partners and stakeholders.
•    Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates technology talent; foster an inclusive work culture and manage succession planning.
•    Manage resources, technology direction, support, and operations for Mortgage Capital Markets technology globally, with a focus on US market requirements. 
                 Oversee platforms for lending, risk management, market data, and transaction processing.
                 Lead vendor management and engagement for key systems, ensuring quality, cost control, and accountability.
                 Administer project budgets, plans, and status reporting; ensure staff maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and business practices.
•    Represent the business in senior leadership forums, regulatory committees, and SteerCo meetings; coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver program milestones.
•    Maintain robust controls for data integrity, operational risk, and regulatory compliance; drive continuous improvement and transformation in technology delivery.

 

What You'll Bring

 

•    Minimum 7–10 years of technology and business experience in capital markets, structured credit, or mortgage-backed securities. 
•    Demonstrated systems knowledge and experience with technologies relevant to mortgage capital markets. 
•    Proven critical thinking, continuous improvement, and transformation leadership, delivering high performance aligned to group and Bank strategic direction. 
•    Track record of managing highly complex technology projects, including platform buildout and integration for regulated financial businesses. 
•    Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and oversight of outsourced and offshore resources. 
•    In-depth knowledge of principles, theories, practices, and techniques for planning, managing, and implementing software projects and programs in a capital markets environment. 
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
