The incumbent plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely settlement of a broad range of securities products across multiple business lines, while advancing strategic initiatives, strengthening the control environment, and supporting business growth.
The position contributes directly to the firm’s ability to operate at scale across global markets by aligning day to day execution with regulatory expectations, internal risk appetite, and evolving client and business needs. The role operates at the intersection of Operations, Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Front Office partners, with accountability for both operational performance and people leadership.

•    Provide senior oversight of daily U.S. Domestic and International Equities and Fixed Income settlement activity, including Fed Settlements and Securities Borrow/Loan transactions, supporting both local and international business lines.
•    Ensure accurate and timely settlement across a complex product set, including equities, bonds, ADRs/ORDs, 144A/Reg S securities, and collateralized transactions.
•    Maintain accountability for the full settlement lifecycle, including:
        - Trade settlement and affirmation
        - Segregation and regulatory custody requirements
        - Triparty trade matching and funding activity
        - P/S and DWAC processing
        - Corporate action–related conversions and adjustments
        - Cash wire processing and liquidity movements
        - Daily funding, cash management, and position reconciliation
        - Fail monitoring, escalation, and remediation
        - Coupon, margin, and TMPG receivable/payable management
        - Trade repricing and associated cash movements
        - Management information and operational reporting

Business Partnership & Change Enablement
•    Act as the primary operational point of contact for supported businesses, including Collateral Management and Funding, Group Treasury, Prime Services, Global Equity Derivatives, and Emerging & Debt Capital Markets.
•    Partner with Front Office, Finance, Treasury, Technology, and Risk teams to support new product launches, client onboarding, market expansions, and operating model changes.
•    Provide operational leadership for new business initiatives, ensuring scalability, control readiness, and regulatory alignment prior to go live.
•    Influence upstream and downstream stakeholders to improve trade quality, settlement outcomes, and funding efficiency.

Risk, Controls & Regulatory Accountability
•    Own the day to day operational risk and control framework for the settlement function, ensuring activities are conducted in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and the firm’s stated risk appetite.
•    Serve as the lead representative for all internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and control reviews, with accountability for issue remediation and sustainable control enhancements.
•    Ensure adherence to obligations under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and Guidelines for Business Conduct.
•    Drive continuous improvement in controls, reconciliations, exception management, and issue escalation to reduce settlement risk and operational losses.

People Leadership & Talent Development
•    Lead, develop, and motivate a high performing settlement operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
•    Set clear expectations aligned to business strategy, operational excellence, and risk discipline.
•    Maintain full accountability for people manager responsibilities, including performance management, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee engagement.
•    Identify individual and team development needs, proactively coaching and mentoring talent to build technical depth, leadership capability, and bench strength.
•    Act decisively on performance issues through structured feedback and coaching, reinforcing expected behaviors and standards.

•    A proven ability to partner with Front Office, Treasury, Risk, and Technology to deliver change and support business growth.
•    Experience leading teams, developing talent, and driving cultural and performance transformation.
•    The confidence and credibility to operate as a senior operational leader with regulators, auditors, and executive stakeholders.
