Senior Manager, Sustainment & Control - Dallas, TX
Purpose
The role contributes to the overall success of the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Operations by providing operational support of the business and ensuring plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
The job is responsible for:
- Managing the planning, execution, delivery and maintenance on concurrent projects and strategic initiatives for GTB US Cash Management (USCM) Operations.
- Managing the creation, sustentation and roadmap of operational frameworks, controls and system usage.
- Coordinating strategic sustainment of in-flight and delivered across GTB Operations and other stakeholders.
Accountabilities
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Manage, lead and/or participate in complex, multi-faceted projects and system implementations to meet the cross-geographical strategic transaction banking needs of Global Transaction Banking and the various business lines by applying financial and technological knowledge to the introduction of new procedures, business initiatives and/or systems solutions.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Preparing detailed action/project plans, undertaking critical research and analysis, leading User Acceptance Testing, accurately and clearly defining business requirements, defining procedure and policy, acting as SME where possible and liaising directly with users, suppliers and external regulatory bodies as required. - Through automation, responsible for designing and maintaining operational controls to manage iterative implementation as well as reengineering existing business processes or tools to managing operational risks, streamlining processes and reducing overall costs. Create tangible/measurable operational efficiencies through the application of business, financial, and process engineering knowledge.
- Develop comprehensive and in-depth understanding of transaction banking products & operating model framework to establish and document a detailed sustainment structure & processes as determined.
- This includes, but is not limited to:

- Development and implementation of robust operational controls, policies and procedures.
- Creation and maintenance of applicable user guides and knowledge bases, accompanied by scheduled training.
- Establishment of comprehensive management metrics that provide KPI/KRI to Senior Management.
- Integration and embedding of processes into daily workflows.
- Demonstrate a high level of professional service and effective communication within cross-functional internal and external parties to meet and deliver milestones on-time and/or ahead of schedule.
- Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Banks business strategies, policies, and risk management practices, methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments and regulatory requirements. Keep abreast of Operations procedural changes and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective, efficient and innovative business solutions and service to the operations groups and business lines.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Dimensions
- 3 direct reports, contractors as needed.
- Supports Global Transaction Banking, Global Banking and Markets and other global utilities.
- Coverage primarily spans Canada, United States and Mexican stakeholders.
- Usage and knowledge of multiple in-house or external systems.
- Exposure to regulatory bodies such as Federal Reserve Banks or Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Practical knowledge and 7 to 10 years of management experience in Transaction Products with solid understanding of Corporate/Commercial Deposits and back office operational processes/interfaces and risk management techniques
- Superior technical knowledge in MS Office tools, process management and dashboard software
- Highly organized individual with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in business analysis tools/methodologies and process/procedural documentation skills.
- Familiarity with project management principles (Agile/Waterfall) and practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Working Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Some potential travel to Toronto depending on business needs.
