Purpose
The Junior Business Analyst supports the GBME Workforce & Business Management function by delivering workforce planning, headcount governance, reporting, and operational support across Global Banking & Markets Engineering (GBME).
The role partners closely with Business Management, Finance, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Technology teams to ensure workforce transparency, data integrity, financial accountability, and effective operational execution. The analyst will contribute to workforce planning, reporting, budgeting, and governance processes that support strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will maintain workforce plans, support hiring and contractor management activities, produce management reporting, monitor key performance indicators, and assist leadership with day-to-day business management operations.
This role serves as a critical partner in ensuring the organization has the right talent, capacity, and insights required to operate effectively and achieve business objectives, while aligning with the Bank’s values, risk appetite, and governance standards.
What You'll Do
Workforce Planning & Headcount Governance
• Maintain workforce planning and headcount management processes across GBME.
• Track and manage workforce headcount, including hiring, attrition, transfers, promotions, and workforce trends.
• Support workforce forecasting and capacity planning exercises.
• Maintain workforce dashboards and reporting to monitor organizational metrics.
• Analyze workforce trends and provide insights and recommendations.
• Support organizational design and workforce optimization initiatives.
Contractor Management & Resource Tracking
• Manage contractor onboarding, offboarding, and conversion tracking.
• Monitor contractor utilization and workforce capacity.
• Maintain contractor inventories and reporting.
• Support vendor resource management activities.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendor management teams.
• Assist with contractor budget tracking and forecasting.
Reporting & Analytics
• Develop and maintain workforce and business management dashboards.
• Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.
• Analyze workforce and operational data to identify trends and insights.
• Create executive presentations and reporting materials.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
• Support executive and ad hoc reporting requirements.
Process Improvement & Automation
• Identify opportunities to improve workforce management processes and reporting efficiency.
• Support automation initiatives to streamline reporting and workflows.
• Assist with standardization and documentation of procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement across business management activities.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
• Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture to daily activities and decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and governance standards.
• Maintain accurate, auditable, and controlled reporting processes.
• Support compliance with operational, regulatory, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk requirements.
• Contribute to a strong internal control environment across workforce and business management functions.
Culture & Collaboration
• Champion a client-focused approach that strengthens relationships and leverages broader organizational capabilities.
• Partner effectively with Finance, HR, Technology, and Business stakeholders to ensure alignment and data accuracy.
• Promote a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative work environment aligned with the Bank’s values and Code of Conduct.

What You'll Bring
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Human Resources, Analytics, or related discipline required.
Experience
• 1-3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Workforce Planning, Financial Analysis, Reporting, Operations, PMO, Human Resources, or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting workforce planning, headcount management, or operational reporting preferred.
• Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Technology, or Consulting environments preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
