Purpose
The Director, AI Enablement is responsible for defining and leading the enterprise AI enablement strategy that drives adoption, value realization, and operational integration of Artificial Intelligence capabilities across the organization.
This role serves as the strategic bridge between business leadership, technology organizations, data & AI teams, and end users to ensure AI investments translate into measurable business outcomes. The Director will establish the enablement operating model, adoption framework, governance processes, and organizational change strategies required to scale Generative AI, AI copilots, analytics, and intelligent automation capabilities enterprise-wide.
The position requires strong leadership across business transformation, AI strategy, technology enablement, organizational change management, and stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Do
Enterprise AI Enablement Strategy
• Define and execute the enterprise AI enablement vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Develop scalable frameworks that accelerate AI adoption while ensuring governance, compliance, risk management, and responsible AI practices.
• Establish enterprise standards for AI adoption, enablement, value realization, and capability maturity.
• Partner with executive leadership to identify strategic opportunities where AI can improve productivity, decision making, and operational efficiency.
• Drive alignment across Data & AI, Architecture, Security, Risk, Operations, HR, and business functions.
AI Adoption & Transformation Leadership
• Lead enterprise-wide AI adoption initiatives across business units and functional organizations.
• Develop and execute change management strategies that accelerate acceptance and sustained use of AI capabilities.
• Establish an enterprise AI Champions and Community of Practice program to create grassroots adoption and knowledge sharing.
• Drive organizational readiness planning for new AI capabilities and platform rollouts.
• Ensure enablement programs address varying maturity levels across technical and non-technical audiences.
Platform Enablement & Capability Management
• Oversee enablement strategies for enterprise AI platforms including:
o Microsoft Copilot
o Azure AI Services
o Azure OpenAI
o Databricks AI/ML capabilities
o Google AI platforms
o Emerging Generative AI solutions
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess business applicability, readiness, and adoption approaches.
• Establish governance for AI use-case intake, prioritization, onboarding, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with platform owners to ensure successful launch, adoption, and optimization of AI capabilities.
Business Value Realization
• Define enterprise AI success measures, KPIs, and value realization frameworks.
• Develop methodologies for measuring productivity gains, process efficiencies, cost savings, and business outcomes.
• Build executive dashboards and performance reporting that communicate AI impact to leadership.
• Identify adoption barriers and implement corrective actions to improve utilization and business value.
• Create repeatable approaches for documenting and scaling successful AI use cases.
AI Governance & Responsible AI
• Partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Governance teams to establish responsible AI adoption frameworks.
• Ensure AI enablement programs align with enterprise governance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Advocate for ethical and responsible AI practices across the organization.
• Support AI risk assessments, controls, and operational governance processes.
• Provide leadership guidance on emerging AI risks and opportunities.
Executive Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and senior leaders regarding AI adoption and enablement strategies.
• Present adoption trends, business impact, roadmap recommendations, and investment priorities to executive leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional executive forums focused on AI innovation and transformation.
• Translate technical AI capabilities into business-focused outcomes and recommendations.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing AI Enablement organization.
• Define organizational structures, capabilities, and roles required to scale AI adoption across the enterprise.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation.
• Provide coaching and career development for enablement specialists, analysts, and AI champions.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships supporting AI enablement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications Required
• 10+ years of experience in technology enablement, digital transformation, product management, business transformation, enterprise platforms, or AI-related leadership roles.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale adoption programs and organizational change initiatives.
• Strong understanding of:
o Generative AI
o Large Language Models (LLMs)
o AI Copilots
o Enterprise AI Platforms
o Digital Productivity Solutions
• Experience working with Azure, Databricks, Google Cloud, and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive organizational transformation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Experience defining KPIs, adoption metrics, value realization frameworks, and executive reporting.
Preferred
• Experience leading AI Centers of Excellence (CoE) or enterprise transformation organizations.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI, AI governance, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience managing enterprise software adoption and change management programs.
• Advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Spanish fluency (nice to have).
