Purpose:

 

Contributes to the overall success of Retail Banking in local markets and has direct responsibility for developing and operationalizing appropriate tools and mechanisms to analyze data, and for providing meaningful management information and reports to support business decisions.
Provide support to the Sales Enablement leader with tracking, recording and monitoring relevant metrics, Key Performance Indicators for measuring the productivity of the teams, products, and performance of units involved in E2E business processes. Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Accountabilities :

 

•Provides structured support to the local market Sales Leaders (presentations, sales reports and analysis, recognitions, best practices) through the interpretation and application of performance dashboards, scorecards, and reporting outputs developed by regional Performance and Analytics teams, ensuring consistent understanding and adoption across stakeholders.

• Executes and monitors initiatives, routines, and performance tracking activities in alignment with regional governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to established methodologies, KPIs, and reporting standards defined at a central level.

• Applies established data tools, systems, and reporting mechanisms to support tracking, validation, and follow-up of business performance, operating within predefined data governance, controls, and analytical models without ownership of their design or maintenance.

• Supports the execution of core processes such as goal tracking and performance routines by completing defined operations, in accordance with guidelines and ownership established by regional Performance and Planning teams.

• Support the implementation, adaptation and monitoring of new Sales & Service projects and initiatives as required by:

o Supporting the Retail & Sales Enablement team with sustainment of the Sales & Service culture across the Retail Branches by coordinating and analyzing branch reviews, above the branch reports, external indicators as well as analyzing and tracking metrics such as cross sell, effectiveness, appointments and other Sales Platform KPIs, along with the MBR, client dynamics and various Power Bi dashboards as required.

• Champions a client focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Identify, track, and report data quality issues for data and design remediation plans.

• Support initiatives to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and in alignment with requirements.

• Learn and adopt new procedures, technologies and processes.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience :

 

• A university degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Finance or Computer Science. Professional financial designation or MBA preferred and/or Appropriate technical training.
• Experience with corporate technology systems, databases, data management principles and data quality and reporting
• Experience and knowledge of business solutions/processes. Understanding of how data supports business solutions/processes.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish (ideal) Skills:
• Ability to translate data indicators into business indicators to ensure timely escalation of issues observed in the presented data.
• Strong ability to influence/communicate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels.
• Superior ability to motivate a team for excellent delivery, ability to conduct quality reviews and provide constructive feedback when necessary.
• Strong market and supplier research skills; Experience building suppliers and market databases is highly desired
• Experience developing baselines and strategies for a wide range of procurement categories
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial services and regulations is preferred.
• AML regulations, practices and economic sanctions, which can be enhanced through ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) accreditation, is an asset.
• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
• Limited travel nationwide.
• Priorities and demands on the incumbent's time can change at short notice, requiring a flexible approach and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to manage stress as a result of tight deadlines that may be imposed that may require additional hours of work beyond the normal work day.
