The ScotiaMacLeod Oakvest Wealth Management Team is a well-established, high-performing financial services team managing a sophisticated client base. Our nine-person team has worked together for many years, building a collaborative, supportive, and high-trust environment. We are known for delivering exceptional client service, thoughtful planning, and disciplined investment management.

As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a highly organized, client-focused professional to join us in a Senior Associate / Associate role, with significant opportunity for long-term career development.

 

The Opportunity

This role is designed for a motivated individual who wants to grow within a dynamic wealth management practice. The successful candidate will initially focus on learning the operations, systems, and client service standards that define our team, while supporting advisors and clients across a range of functions.

Over time, the role may evolve to include responsibilities in financial planning, trading, client relationship management, and other specialized areas based on the individual’s strengths and interests. We offer meaningful career progression and the ability to shape your path within our team.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support advisors and team members in delivering exceptional client service

• Assist with account administration, documentation, and operational processes

• Coordinate client communications and help manage ongoing service needs

• Maintain organized workflows and ensure timely follow-up on action items

• Learn and support trading and portfolio management processes as appropriate

• Assist with financial planning preparation and implementation (as role evolves)

• Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and efficiency

• Build strong internal relationships and collaborate across functions

 

Qualifications and Experience

• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) designation/CIRE completion 

• Experience in financial services or wealth management preferred but not required 

• Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and efficient

• Strong client service mindset with excellent communication skills

• Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

• Eager to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility over time

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
