Purpose

Contributes to the successful delivery of technology projects in Uruguay by coordinating and executing all required technical activities to support Technology related initiatives, with particular emphasis on AMEX acquiring project management. Ensures that individual objectives, project plans, and initiatives are delivered in alignment with team strategies and business goals. Guarantees compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and established procedures, while overseeing the effective execution of all assigned activities.

Accountabilities 

 1.Technology Project Delivery & Execution
•    Coordinate and execute end to end technical activities required to support technology initiatives in Uruguay, ensuring timely and high quality delivery of assigned projects.
•    Actively contribute to the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of technology projects, with a primary focus on AMEX acquiring project management.
•    Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies are clearly defined, tracked, and met in accordance with approved project plans.
2. Technical Coordination & Stakeholder Management
•    Serve as the primary point of coordination between internal technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and regional/global partners involved in AMEX acquiring and related initiatives.
•    Facilitate effective communication, issue resolution, and alignment across cross functional teams to ensure seamless execution of technical activities.
•    Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating and managing them appropriately to minimize impact on project delivery.
3. Alignment with Business Strategy & Objectives
•    Ensure that individual objectives, project plans, and technical initiatives are aligned with broader team strategies, regional technology roadmaps, and business goals.
•    Translate business requirements into actionable technical activities, ensuring solutions support acquiring growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience objectives.
•    Continuously assess project outcomes to confirm value realization and alignment with expected business benefits.

•    Supports technology initiatives with local (Uruguay) impact, within a broader regional and global technology ecosystem.
•    Directly influences the successful delivery of acquiring and payment solutions, including AMEX, with operational, regulatory, and customer experience implications.
•    Impacts project timelines, delivery quality, and compliance posture rather than setting enterprise wide strategy.
 
2. Delivery Accountability
•    Accountable for execution of assigned technical activities and workstreams, not full end to end ownership of large programs.
•    Responsible for ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with approved plans.
•    Shared accountability for overall project success alongside Project Managers, business owners, and regional teams.
 
3. Complexity
•    Operates in a moderately high complexity environment, driven by: 
o    Payment and acquiring platforms (AMEX).
o    Regulatory and security requirements.
o    Multiple stakeholders (local, regional, global).
•    Must manage interdependencies, sequencing, and constraints across systems, vendors, and teams.
