Purpose
Transaction and Integration Services (TIS) team is looking for a Technical Solution Associate who enjoys technology and is comfortable working with business, technical and support staff to address all business requests and production items - work in close collaboration with team members and different technology and business stakeholders to understand and capture key discussions on requirements, process flows, regulatory and audit related items, enquiries, issues, and pain points. Gather work effort before resourcing and project planning. Analyze, navigate challenges, and drive teams for resolution in distributed environments. Schedule, manage, contribute, and participate in delivering solutions that are compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Learn and understand the applications owned by the team – communicate with the business owners, understand regulatory flags, technology stack and limitations, application interfaces, roadmap, PII, DBR, ISSCP status, IPB, TRA and remediation plans.
- Be the conduit to interpret business ideas into technical terms and explain recommendations from technical teams back to the client.
- Value every voice, navigate challenges, ensure that every concern is address and all perspectives are heard before facilitating the resolution process.
- Document key details in all discussions between technology and business area.
- Support team by evaluating the problem being raised and identifying actions to be taken together.
- Gather technical evaluation from the team including assumptions and technical changes and generate estimate letter for project manager to review and approve.
- Communicate a clear list of expectations and tasks for project team and team members to follow.
- Participate in all aspects of a SDLC (Requirements, Analysis, Design, Code, Test, Implementation, Documentation and Production handover)
- Ensure development environments are configured properly including system and user access. Raise and submit requests via Service Now system if necessary.
- Understand the nature of the change and prioritize all work coming to the team.
- Manage team resources and track team’s capacity for project planning.
- Provide analysis and coding support for host applications and infrastructure enhancements.
- Keep track of team’s abilities, availabilities, and performance status.
- Review and monitor team’s work to ensure they are executed on time.
- Schedule releases and deploy solutions from lower environment all the way to production implementation.
- Produce ad hoc reports related to the deliverables for management to review.
- Work closely with all team members in an agile lab and agile environment.
- Work standard and additional hours to meet project deadlines and support duty programmer in production escalations.
- Must be fluent in English, oral and written, with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Education / Experience / Other Information
- 3+ years project management or equivalent experience in a professional setting.
- 3+ years of experience in IT mainframe environment with complex programs using Cobol, JCL, IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, CICS, CA7, SAS.
- Experience in multiple operating platforms and operating systems (MVS Mainframe).
- Experience in interactive program development tools (TSO).
- Experience with Security and environment control systems (Endevor, ACF2), Database Management (e.g. IMS, DB2, VSAM).
- Experience in code deployment using DevOps pipeline.
- Proficiency with Confluence and Jira.
- Experience working in an agile environment / methodology.
- Excellent in English, oral and written, with superb attention to details.
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or technical equivalent
- Proven track record in delivering results in a fast-paced, agile environment with strong leadership and coaching skills.
- PMP certification considered an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of Assembly programming language an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of web services and APIs an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of web and cloud (Azure, GCP) technologies an asset.
