Purpose

The GBME Derivative Trading Platform is searching for Release Management Manager/DevOps to liaison with multiple assets platform work streams to ensure business and technology priorities are aligned, developed and delivered on time and meet the audit and bank’s standards.

 

Accountabilities

 

  1. Release Planning and Governance
    • Own the end-to-end release management lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating release across multiple asset platforms.
    • Supervise and controls the execution of end-to-end technology implementation activities, including implementation strategy and implementation checklist, requirement gathering, and coordination across technology and business teams.
    • Establish and enforce change management policies and procedures, ensuring all production changes are properly assessed, approved, and documented according to the bank standards.
    • Leads and participates in multiple projects or specific sections of small, medium and large-scale initiatives, supporting all participating groups.
      • Resource planning and scheduling
      • Detailing implementation plan
      • Monitoring project/release progress against planned objectives
      • Developing mitigation strategies
      • Participating in implementation control centers and post-implementation support
    • Organizes and leads meetings to ensure release objectives are understood, achieved, risk and impact are properly assessed, critical issues/blockers are addressed, and status updated.
    • Maintain a centralized release calendar and communication release plans for stakeholders.
  1. Change Control and Risk Management
    • Attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Release Review Board (RRB) meetings and ensure all changes meet compliance, security and audit requirements.
    • Perform impact analysis and risk assessments for all releases and changes, mitigating potential disruptions to production stability.
    • Ensure rollback and contingency plans are in place for all deployments.
  1. DevOps, Automation and Code Deployment
    • Collaborate with developers, QA, BA, Production Support to ensure environment stability and deployment readiness.
    • Implement monitoring and alerting for release health and post-deployment validation.
  1. Reporting and Metrics
    • Provide regular reporting to Sr. Management on release status, change volumes, success rates, and incident trents.
  1. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

Education / Experience / Other Information

 

•              Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering Information Technology, or related field (preferred)

•              Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Information Technology field, and FinTech is a bonus.

•              Full professional proficient in verbal and written English.

•              Proven experience leading QA teams in Agile environments with strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe principles.

•              Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud-native solutions.

•              Strong understanding of ITIL processes, regulatory compliance and risk management.

•              Expertise in Version Control tools like Git, Bitbucket with proven experience for managing code branches and merges.               

•              Expertise in deployment strategies, feature toggles, and release orchestration tools.

•              Expertise in automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automating deployments and tasks.

•              Proven experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence and Service Now Change Management.

•              Excellent working experience of Microsoft Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

•              Familiar with cloud environments (GCP, Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes)

 

Working Conditions

 

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.  No travel needs
