Purpose

The Senior Solutions Architect will be working with the Global Risk Management Engineering team and International Banking Risk Management and Technology teams to be responsible for projects to ensure that international banking risk management uses architecture and infrastructure supporting major, highly complex applications are designed to meet evolving business requirements and meet standards for reliability, scalability and availability across the globe.  This role is a high-impact role responsible for managing a set of tasks and techniques working as a liaison among various stakeholders. The incumbent needs to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization, and recommend technical / business solutions that streamline risk management processes. Accountabilities 

Act as trusted advisor to help international banking risk management business to leverage broader Bank systems and knowledge focused on risk management
Acts as a thought partner for senior leaders across the group – within the context of strategic technology projects and on an ongoing basis guide teams on roadmap for technologies to support retail credit risk, corporate commercial credit risk, market risk and counterparty credit risk for international banking regions including Peru, Chile, Mexico and Caribbean. 
Analyzes requirements from all stakeholders and translate business requirements from multiple countries into cohesive target-state designs, balancing global consistency with local regulatory needs.
Lead a wide range of technology strategy initiatives such as Applications rationalization, Cloud Migration, Legacy modernization. Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and roadmaps ensure impactful project outcomes to senior leaders within Global Risk Management and Global Corporate Functions Technology
Ensures simplification of the technology application landscape there by achieving efficiency gains in terms cost, revenue and resources while ensuring uncompromised delivery of business value to clients and compliance with multi-jurisdiction regulatory frameworks, including: Basel frameworks, IFRS 9/ECL standards and local risk regulations.
Define and govern data flows across international sources—including local core banking systems, credit bureaus, and third-party data feeds. Support model risk governance for international credit scoring, behavioral models, and transaction monitoring analytics.
Keeps the Bank safe by ensuring right technology, architecture, data, and infrastructure choices are made that prevents malicious attacks against the Bank’s technology infrastructure.

Education / Experience / Other Information 

•    +5 years of software engineering industry experience
•    Native or Fluent in both Spanish and English
•    Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
•    5+ Experience working in the Risk Management domain in retail credit risk, corporate and commercial credit risk and trading risk.
•    Must be a leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills and influencing skills to build consensus and foster relationships with business partners, project stakeholders, strategic technology partners and external vendors
•    Experience with structured Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premises to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
•    Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global based systems. Experience in network infrastructure, security, data, or application development.
•    Deep understanding of risk management practices and industry trends on risk management solutions.
•    Ability to create designs and reference architectures for highly computationally intensive and data intensive solutions
•    Sound knowledge of various operating systems, databases, and technologies
•    Disciplined in development methodology and familiar with software development technologies and concepts.
