Purpose
The ScrumMaster is responsible for driving team effectiveness by identifying and removing impediments, supporting the team, and encouraging practices in accordance with agile principles.
The Scrum Master is empowered to introduce better ways to boost team productivity. They lead the team by embodying agile values, facilitating ceremonies, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement and shared practices. The incumbent will be actively involved in the development and maintenance of a high-performing, self-organizing team.
Accountabilities
• As a Scrum Master, you'll ensure that the team enacts the agile principles, values, and framework.
• Provide support to teams using a servant leadership style.
• Train the development team and help lead and ensure that the "agile mindset" is fully embraced and understood
• Implement and promote the use of agile methodology within the team.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including iteration, such as planning, iteration review, retrospectives and daily standups or replenishments, delivery review, delivery planning, and standups for the Kanban framework.
• Understand long-term product planning/roadmap and help inform development teams to create faster wins for the benefit of the end user
• Ensure that appropriate lightweight documentation (captured in artifacts such as program vision statement, program backlog, program roadmap, release plan, sprint backlog, and increments) is prioritized and added to the team's backlog.
• Develop and nurture strong partnership relationships with the product owner/business sponsor and stakeholders.

Some of the key accountabilities include:
• Ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects; It adapts precedent and can make significant deviations from traditional approaches to developing solutions.
• Advanced level of understanding of agile principles and practices, service-oriented environments, and iterative development and risk management practices.
• Advanced understanding of incremental delivery and value metrics, including backlog tracking, burn-in metrics, acceptance criteria, speed, and task definition.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate the effective breakdown of epics into user stories, to achieve high levels of sprint speed within corporate constraints, to plan and execute against the accumulation of iterations.

Education / Experience / Other Information
- Professional in computer engineering, business, information science, or another related field preferred
- 5 - 8 years of experience in IT.
- More than 3 years of experience in people management and/or leadership of large cross-functional/cross-regional teams on major organizational projects, preferably in an agile work environment.
- Project management experience with a strong understanding of agile project management principles and practices along with work experience as a Scrum Master on a recent project/initiative.
- Have the ScrumMaster Certification (CSM).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to influence management and teams.
- Extensive knowledge of software technologies and the various iterative/adaptive methodologies of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience participating in/leading SoS (Scrum of Scrums).
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge and use of Jira and Confluence
Preferred:
- Experience with the DevOps framework.
- Experience in operational readiness.
Working Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
