Purpose

GBME is searching for Platform Engineer who are continuous learners and are eager to boost capabilities of capital markets products and analytics platforms.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical and engineering mindset.  You will work closely with cross functional engineering leaders to develop and implement market leading solutions for Peak platform within GBME.   

Accountabilities

• Work closely with end users, and business teams to understand business needs, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments as needed
• Partner with Architecture and developers on the design and integration
• Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications
• Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation
• Work with existing CI/CD pipeline and enhance it as needed.
• Ability to wright microservice or automation scripts.
• Support the solution in production (as needed)
• Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries.
• Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate SCRUM Meetings

Education / Experience / Other Information

Critical Requirements:

• 1+ years of platform engineering or devops engineering experience.
• 1+ experience working with Kubernetes and docker environments
• 1+ experiences with CI/CD tools like HelmChart, Jankins, Git, Bitbucket
• 1+ experiences with Database like, SQL Server, SQL Scripts, ElasticSearch, Redis
• 1+ experiences with massaging system like Kafka, Redis
• 1+ experiences work with Linux environments
• 1+ experiences with Airflow and dags.
• 1+ experiences with Java, Python, GoLang and Bash scripts
• Familiar with enterprise logging and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Loki

                                        
Working Conditions

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.  This role requires the candidate to be highly flexible in hours of work because of its customer-facing and highly available infrastructure needs.
