Title:  Product Engineering Specialist

Purpose 

As Product  Engineering Specialist, you will be  responsible for  product definition and product specification from the business and  interface those requirements with the development team in clear technical requirements acting as SME . The decision engines, segmentation and pricing will be your main scope but other technology products could be in scope as required. The Engineer Product Specialist  is meant to be a forward thinking individual who embrace change, be  passionate about their profession,  flexible, curious, continuous learner and who want to achieve challenging goals and support effectively the Sr Engineering Manager.

Accountabilities  

• Define technology products in conjunction with architecture, Business and development teams. 

• High Technology understanding to interact with highly technical talents 

• Hight communication skills to translate complex technical concepts and land them in products understanding with retail bank specialist and backwards too.  

• It required a close relation with retail and product areas to refine the requirements and point to strategic Solution in alignment with business goals. 

• Participate in business requirements exercise and products definition to be aligned with technology platforms available. 

• Build and manage cohesive software architecture & data governance standards, artifacts, roadmaps, and providing technical direction for the applications assigned to your portfolio 

• Ensure best practices are followed in design and development, documentation and tools needed to support the various projects and existing production systems 

• Co-work with 3rd parties and other teams in IB or Canada to deliver solutions according to specifications. 

• Ensure product compliance with essential bank standards, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.  

• Support the Sr engineering manager  to build a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team (direct reports and indirect teams) by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.  

• Occasionally travel may be required

• Product responsibility over the decision engines  which is key step in the bank client onboarding Solutions for all IB countries in its ability to offer products to the clients. 

• Product Engineering Specialist will handle projects from 200K to 1 M in which his/her contribution is key to succeed. 

• Technology professional with 4+ years in Technology positions 

• 5+ years in a position related to technology Solutions and defining products and technology requirements in IT industry. 

• Strong technical people management skills to drive them to succeed in projects implementation 

• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to deal with business and build teamwork. 

• Disciplined in up-to-date development in Agile methodologies and familiarity with software development technologies and concepts.   

• Knowledge and Experience in technology products definition  

Working Conditions 

• Work in Hybrid environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
