Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Enterprise Content Solutions globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Develop solutions to resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs, by applying technological knowledge.

• Participate in the production of implementation strategies through creation of functional specification documents to support users. and presentation of proposed changes to applicable international audiences

• Provide on-call (after hours) and weekend production support on a rotational basis.

• Participate in design, development, testing, development of new solutions or enhancements to existing applications.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application development, testing and support using SharePoint (Online / OnPremises) and related technologies (nice to have)
• Must be familiar with Net / Rest API / JavaScript and PowerShell scripting
• Good understanding in design patterns and best practices
• Experience with build and deployment tools such as Azure Devops / Visual Studio Team System
• Language fluency in English and Spanish B1
• A recognized under-graduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related discipline
• Desirable to have Microsoft Certifications (SharePoint / SPFX / PowerApps / Microsoft 365 Fundamentals).
