Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Global Contact Center Platform/ ScotiaTech in Bogota ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Accountabilities
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Assist the lead and/or to develop and to provide high quality deliverables during all the phases of the project, from the participation in requirement gathering, design and implementation to post release support.
• Assist the lead and /or team as a specialized technical guide in the analysis, design, development, implementation, architecture and support of Pega base solutions. Showing expertise in flows, UI and decision rules; and considering best practices, guardrails and any defined standard.
• Sharing knowledge and helping the team with the correct usage in the diversity of tools and capabilities Pega offers.
• Collaboration as part of an Agile development team, participation in daily stand-ups, work estimations, identify blockers and proposal of solutions.
• Participate actively in demos and review sessions of all project deliverables to assure the quality and completeness of the functionalities. This way we reach high availability, integrity, and confidence in the requirements.
• Assurance the delivery of solutions within the committed times and with the expected quality.
• Assisting actively in the identification of enhancements to the base product, bring in recommendations on the standard around the system architecture, applications, development, integrations systems, data model and testing.
• Keep updated in the changing technological trends, self-taught person and maintain an understanding of the tech strategy and business.
• Provide production support, including off-hour support if required.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience
• Demonstrate enough flexibility and adaptability, willing to learn new methodologies, tools, platforms, and systems.
• Demonstrate enough skill to quickly and independently develop and advanced knowledge of the PRPC architecture, as well as its implementation and design functionalities.
• Demonstrate enough customer focus, with a genuine interest in working collaboratively with others, providing support to peers and willing to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Collaborate and team up with product owners, technology team, and colleagues. Continual focus on Customer success.
• Participate in reviews and walkthroughs of all major project deliverables to ensure the quality and completeness of functionality, meeting high availability, integrity, and reliability requirements
• Keep current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teach new technologies and maintain an understanding of the Division’s business and technology strategies.
• Provide input & ideas to clients and team members across business and technical project dimensions, solving complex business requirements.
• Participate in all aspects of application development for assigned applications or technology.
Competencies
• Excellent interpersonal relationships to deliver proposals, provides user support and interacts with team members, as well as with other departments.
• Be proactive and assist the leader and / or team with compliance, management and /or monitoring of situations related to the project; the above based on deadlines and priorities committed.
• Assist the leader with the analysis of requirements, needs and / or implementations; understanding the interrelation between different elements, perspective from beginning to end in decisions, to identify problems and blocking aspects.
• Demonstrates understanding of concepts and little experience in the creation of designs that are scalable over time, extensible, and / or modular.
Education
• Professional in systems engineering or related engineering is required.
• 1 year of practical experience; it can be acquired in university, personal projects, online courses, trainings, etc.
• Proven experience of one year in the development of applications with Pega (nic e to have)
• Experience of a least 8 months in agile projects.
• Experience in analysis, design and software development focused on business solutions in Java.
• Experience in J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java) and /or .Net is desirable.
• Experiences in Websphere or Weblogic Application Server is desirable.
• Object oriented design and development experience.
Working Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
The collaborator will work in normal business conditions. Meeting trips can be extended to other facilities, including supplier sites inside and outside of Colombia.
• Participate in the provision of third level support for applications withing the departments of CCT or IT&S.
• Will work implementing deliverables as in the support.
• Fast-paced, highly collaborative, and open environment, where all team members are visible and constantly interacting
• Team’s charts (Sprint Backlog, Product Backlog, etc) are visible and tracked across the team’s shared workspace
• Periodic speaking occasions, presentations, stand-up meetings, etc
• Require a moderate degree of mobility - primarily phone, meetings, laptop
• Occasional commute to different locations of the bank may be required
