Purpose

 

The Manager, GBS GWO Static Data supports the Sr. Manager and Director in delivering accurate, timely, and well-controlled static data services globally. The role leads a shift-based team responsible for data monitoring, source-system mapping, and reference data integrity supporting regulatory reporting and downstream processing, while ensuring all activities are delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. 

 

Accountabilities 

 

•    Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

•    Leads and develops the GBS GWO Static Data team across shift-based coverage by setting priorities, monitoring performance, and ensuring effective staffing, coaching, and accountability.

•    Oversees SSI setup, security setup, regulatory reporting support, counterparty mapping, and static data maintenance across GBM systems, while maintaining a strong control environment through approvals, exception management, reconciliations, audit trails, and timely remediation of control gaps.

•    Acts as shift lead for out-of-hours operations when required, ensuring start-of-shift readiness, end-of-shift handovers, escalation management, and effective coordination with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Technology, and other stakeholders to support trade flow and issue resolution.

•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

•    Global support for static data services across GBM systems and downstream processes
•    Shift-based operating model, including late-night coverage supporting global BNS operations
•    Accountability for SSI setup, security setup, counterparty mapping, source-system mapping, and reference data integrity
•    Support for regulatory reporting, audit inquiries, internal reviews, and remediation of control gaps
•    Participation in projects, system enhancements, migrations, and operational readiness activities 

 


Education / Experience 
•    Proven experience leading teams in a shift-based or operations environment, including performance management, coaching, workload prioritization, and stakeholder coordination
•    Experience in static data, reference data, trade support, or a related capital markets operations function, with strong knowledge of controls and downstream impacts
•    Experience supporting out-of-hours, late-night, globally aligned, or follow-the-sun operations, including escalation management and shift handovers
•    Strong understanding of operational risk, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills, with clear written and verbal communication
•    High proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working in a technology-enabled environment; knowledge of relevant GBM systems is an asset
•    Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to manage competing priorities, overtime, or holiday coverage when required
•    English as a second language

                                        
Working Conditions
•    Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence, including late-night shift coverage in support of global operations. Limited travel may be required.
