Purpose of Job:

The  Manager, Financial Insights – Client Profitability will support the Finance function of International Banking by delivering data-driven analysis that explains, monitors, and improves client-level profitability across the region. The incumbent will translate complex financial and client data into actionable insights that inform pricing, portfolio, and strategic decisions taken by Finance and business partners. 

The role ensures all strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures, and contributes to the overall success of IB Finance analytics initiatives by aligning outputs with business strategies and objectives. The Manager will work with cross-functional teams across Canada and IB markets, combining financial acumen with data mining and visualization techniques to enhance decision-making and create business value. 

Accountabilities   

•    Perform recurring and on-demand client profitability analysis (Personal Banking, Small Business, Commercial) supporting Finance stakeholders across IB markets. 

•    Coordinate with Finance, Business Lines, and Data teams to collect, review, and validate profitability inputs (revenues, expenses, PCL, RWA, capital allocation, FTP). 

•    Ensure data integrity of Client, Account, and Profitability SDPs used for reporting and analysis. 

•    Build compelling and user-friendly Power BI dashboards to communicate client profitability trends, drivers, and opportunities. 

•    Perform diagnostic and root-cause analysis to explain movements in profitability KPIs (NIM, RoRWA, RAROC, cost-to-serve). 

•    Translate findings into executive-ready communications for Finance leadership and business partners. 

•    Contribute to standardization of profitability metrics and reporting practices across IB countries. 

Education / Experience / Other Information 

 
•    Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. 

•    4+ years of experience in financial services, with exposure to Finance, profitability analytics, or business intelligence. 

•    Working knowledge of Retail, Small Business, and/or Commercial Banking products and profitability drivers (NIM, PCL, RWA, capital, FTP). 

•    Fluency in Spanish and English is required 

•    Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret results, and communicate in simple terms. 

•    Practical experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, data processing, and database programming. 

•    Sharp interpersonal skills and influencing capabilities in multicultural environments. 

•    Nice to have: familiarity with FTP methodologies, RAROC/RoRWA frameworks, and ETL tools.

•    English level B2

•    Hybrid work schedule (Work from home and Office); non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
