Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of Logical Access Management and Control, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
• Responsible for performing user account lifecycle operations, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modification processes for user accounts in internal systems and banking applications according to the standards and the Identity Lifecycle Management (IDLM)
• Assign and revoke permissions according to least privilege principle and predefined role profiles.
• Validate account creation or modification requests against formal authorizations.
• Document all operations in ticketing systems and ensure traceability for audits.
• Participate in periodic access reviews and cleanup of inactive accounts.
• Comply with regulatory standards.
• Utilize troubleshooting skills to understand systems’ issues and the potential root causes.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for assigned initiatives and daily processes.
• Coordinate with upper-level support when applicable and provide resolution recommendations to management
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations concerning operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Education / Experience / Other Information
• Academic background in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Deep knowledge or internship experience in user administration, technical support, or access management within corporate environments is preferred.
• Understanding in Active Directory (AD), LDAP, Azure AD, Understanding in Basic IAM tools, Access control and security policies
• Attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and ability to solve problems
• Effective communication and teamwork.
Working Conditions
• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel globally.
