Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the IT&S operation in Canada for Finance Services Unit, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the review and processing of employee expense reports (using the Bank’s tool Centre Suite).

 

 

Accountabilities 

 

•    Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

•    Following support for all IT&S matters related to Commercial Expense Cards:

 - Provide prompt response to requests for New Expense Card applications/card renewals/card terminations for IT&S

 - Provide first level administrative support to IT&S cardholders for Password/Account reset, Credit limit increases

 - Manage Card/account transfer for IT&S cardholder movement across departments

 - Promptly action Lost/Stolen card replacement as needed.

 - The role is also responsible to support the accurate and timely processing of business travel and entertainment expenses, by ensuring expenses have proper funding authorization, are within budget, have valid supporting documentation and are processed for payment as per Bank Expense Policies.

 - IT&S Requestor: Resolve issues around expense claims timing, rejections, error correction, etc.

•    Team Senior Analyst: Escalate issues for resolution

•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

•    Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information


•    University degree in Business preferred
•    1 year of related experience dealing with the  review / processing of invoices and the reporting / planning of expenditures is required

•    Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
