Purpose


The Director, Global Procurement Services GBS Colombia will provide governance and oversight ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.  The role is a leadership position that is accountable for the execution of procurement activities locally, supporting our global teams.  This role is a management level position and will have regular interaction with global business partners as well as Senior/Executive Management.  

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Provides strategic execution of the Global Procurement Program including, Sourcing and Supplier Management Support, Global Payment Operations and Procurement Operations. 
  • Ensures and supports the Global Procurement Team in the Global Business Services Campus(es) including but not limited to local operations, hiring, onboarding, training, budget planning & reconciliation, employee forecasting, 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders to support enterprise objectives, influence key stakeholders, support escalated concerns and jointly develop strategic sourcing strategies while collaborating on sourcing initiatives and projects. Directly manage and implement best practices in sourcing initiatives.
  • Interface with Business Unit and Operations leaders to fully understand key business drivers, spend drivers, and achieve required support levels. As well as deliver insights pertaining to overall supplier performance at the contract, business unit and category level.
  • Provide category support within and across the Bank’s business segments and serve as a key contributor to a well-developed and evolving supplier management process with oversight and accountability for key vendor contracts and performance.
  • Oversee the support of execution on sourcing initiatives for multi-functional stakeholder teams, ensuring effective strategy development, market assessments, RFP processes, and supplier management while enabling collaboration and innovation between stakeholders and suppliers
  • Establish and develop on-going strategic relationships with key suppliers during major sourcing/project initiatives, and sustain relationships as part of on-going supplier relationship management process
  • Lead a disciplined effort to influence spend and drive cost savings across all business segments
  • Ensure consistent application of procurement processes across constituent groups
  • Ability to coach for both performance and long-term development utilizing situational leadership skills
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite, risk culture and risk policies & processes should be considered/adhered to in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Collaborates with strategic supplier managers/strategic sourcing managers and the GPS business partners to ensure ONEGPS support and delivery to our business partners across the Bank.

    • Strong knowledge in strategic sourcing methodologies (7 steps process or similar)

 

Specific Requirements 

    • Minimum 10 years of progressive sourcing/procurement experience 
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Fluent in English and Spanish required

                                    
Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.  Limited travel may be required.
