Purpose 

 

Contributes to the overall success of the CCAU Technology, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

The incumbent, under general direction, is responsible for the resolution of technical problems for the assigned Applications. 

This includes technical leadership multiple small projects, participating in and/or managing specific sections of medium projects, and providing ongoing technical support to all the Team.

 

Accountabilities  

 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Participate in the full development life cycle of business solution design and implementation by analysis, and accurately and clearly defining user requirements, assisting in the development of test cases and conducting the tests, assisting in the definition of user procedures and workflows, assisting in the development of conversion and implementation strategies, and assisting in the provision of user documentation, user training, and post-implementation support.
  • Provide production and user acceptance testing support to assigned applications by identifying, evaluating, escalating, resolving problems and supporting other team members.
  • Tracking work assignments, status & reporting, configure automation test cases.
  • Resolve multi-faceted problems to meet the technical needs of the assigned Applications, by applying their technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. 
  • Technical leadership multiple small projects and/or lead specific sections of large projects to implement solutions to technical problems.  This involves planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, financial review, and securing consensus and co-operation from technical staff and senior management.
  • Participate in the systems implementation process by defining technical requirements and documentation, developing best practices, performing Architecture design, defining ETL process and workflows, developing, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing post-implementation support.

 

 

Reporting Relationships 

 

 

  • Reports to: Software Engineer Lead – Level 8
  • Direct Reports: Technical staff on an individual project basis

 

Education / Experience / Other Information 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. Project management, Agile methodology (Product Owner, Scrum Master) or other related advanced degree preferred in Data Integration, Reporting, Business Intelligent Solutions
  • 5 - 10 years of experience required
  • Must have minimum of 8 years experience with Reporting tools (Power BI, Cognos etc)
  • Knowledge of Big Data solutions, Hadoop, EDL, DWH, Data Visualization
  • Strong experience with structured and unstructured datasets, as well as solid skills with orchestration & ingestion/extraction of data.
  • Experience with SQL/NOSQL, scripting, automation, computing in the cloud, and application monitoring technologies. 
  • Working knowledge of at least one or more programming languages (JavaScript, Java, .NET, Python, Perl, Python, PHP, BaSH, XML, HTML, C/C++/C#, RegEx, etc.)
  • Experience working in an agile development environment (Confluence, Jira, CiAD pipeline, Scrum/Kanban).  
  • B1 Level of English
  • Detail oriented, team player with an ability to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to create technical solutions that increase competitive advantage
  • Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines and risk management methodologie
  • Ability to solve technical problems/ processes and understand complex details
