Purpose

Manage the overall process of external technology contractor services in GBS, this includes recruiting and 
going through onboarding, supplier payment, accruals, billing, offboarding, managing the relation with the vendors and leading the contractors team. Responsible for timeliness and accuracy of contractors and financial 
information of the process, in compliance with current regulation and Scotiabank policies and procedures.

Accountabilities  

•    Lead the end to end contractor management process—from recruitment and submission to onboarding, performance monitoring, renewals, and offboarding—ensuring process efficiency, data accuracy, compliance, and timely execution across all stages.
•     Oversee the preparation, quality, and accuracy of operational and financial reports related to contractor activity, cost tracking, vendor performance, and SLA adherence.
•     Review, validate, and guide ad hoc financial analysis, ensuring alignment with business needs, operational objectives, and established financial controls.
•     Identify systemic issues, process inefficiencies, and service risks, and lead the implementation of improvements that enhance workflow effectiveness, operational accuracy, and service delivery across the contractor management model.
•     Coordinate and influence cross functional teams and vendor partners to resolve operational discrepancies, ensure process alignment, and maintain compliance with internal and external requirements.
•     Ensure consistent application of the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in all decisions and activities related to contractor operations, maintaining strict adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk guidelines.
•     Foster a high performance, customer focused, and inclusive environment by modeling operational excellence, providing coaching, and ensuring strong collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
•     Ensure effective and efficient execution of operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, maintaining the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls.
•     Promote and reinforce a high performance environment, ensuring continuous improvement, strong accountability, and the development of an inclusive and engaged team culture

Education / Experience 

•    A degree in administration, economics, or related fields
•    4+ years of experience in operations, vendor management, service delivery, process management, or project/program management within continuous operational environmentsx
•    English B1+ or B2 is mandatory
•    Experience with reporting tools is an asset. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Experience en Finance / Accounting is a plus.
•    Strong communication skills and collaboration are essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish
•    Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•    Able to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
•    Strong at prioritizing tasks, adapting to new situations, and taking initiative to solve problems
•    Details and deadlines oriented, highly organized, and ability to work under high pressure environments is a must.
•    Proven teamwork capabilities
•    Experience as business analyst or process analyst is an asset
•    Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work within cross-functional teams
•    Experience and a high degree of comfort working with complex processes
•    Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
•    Knowledge of organizational structure and complexity
•    Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work environment

Working Conditions 

The incumbent works in a standard office-based environment requiring normal sensory attention.  The business environment is fast-paced, complex and demanding.  Deadlines are set well in advance for both external and internal financial reporting with very limited flexibility for change.  Non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
