Purpose
This contributes to the overall success of Global Procurement Services department serving the global enterprise ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountability
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Applies knowledge of procurement best practice and general business practice to enable transactions with suppliers on Scotiabank’s Source to Pay (S2P) systems that is consistent with Procurement Policy and Procedures, and other related policies.
• Applies knowledge of procurement policy, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to respond to inquiries related to Global Procurement Policy and Procedures, and other related policies.
• Provide end-to-end source to pay support to stakeholders and ticket management related to Procurement Technology for intake, supplier risk assessment, contract management and purchasing (including invoicing and payment)
• Communicates and provides education about the improved controls and efficiency gains of migrating to official Scotiabank S2P technology platform(s). Maintains S2P training materials on intranet sites.
• Support Procurement Technology operations by resolving system issues, guiding users, and managing catalog and contract processes. Collaborate with employees and suppliers on Source-to-Pay (S2P) activities, including catalog maintenance, sourcing support, invoice processing, and procurement guidance, ensuring compliance with SOPs and work instructions.
• Conducts analysis to understand the purchasing behaviors of business units and to prepare for migration of their purchasing process to a S2P technology platform (e.g., Coupa).
• Recommends and enables the invoicing approach (e.g., email submission, CSP, cXML, CSV, other) that aligns to the supplier’s billing process. Works with business partners (e.g., technology team) to implement selected invoicing option.
• Interacts with internal employees and external suppliers for S2P platform onboarding, catalog set-up and maintenance, training, and initial purchase order issuance.
• Prepares and seeks approval of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation and follows procedures accordingly to ensure data quality and consistent delivery of service according to established Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
• Prepares and seeks approval of Problem Resolution Procedure (PRP) documentation and follows procedures accordingly for efficient and consistent resolution of common problems to be solved or further escalated.
• Escalates issues to manager, suppliers, or other internal stakeholders and tracks to resolution.
• Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience
• College Diploma or University Degree in related field
• 1 - 3+ years of project management, business administration, business analysis, data analysis, business process improvement, and/or business help desk operations experience.
• Service and customer-oriented attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Strong business and analytical skills, ability to focus on key issues and solve problems.
• Previous experience with Procurement preferred.
• Communication in English plus French and/or Spanish is preferred.
Working Conditions
• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
