Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for performing regular and ad-hoc testing to assess the effectiveness of
controls owned by GWO (Global Wholesale Operations) as part of the GWO Operations Risk & Control
team.

 

Key Job Accountabilities:

 

Operational Management and Improvement

 

•    Perform risk-based testing to assess the operating and/or design effectiveness of key GWO controls and processes in accordance with Testing Procedures.  
•    Testing will cover a broad variety of GWO related procedures and risks across the relevant GWO teams supporting the trade lifecycle across multiple business lines and functions globally including Counterparty Onboarding, Confirmations, Middle Office, Settlements, Reconciliations, Corporate Lending and Trade Finance 
•    Perform analysis to identify and address patterns, themes, or trends that indicate potential weaknesses or gaps in controls. 
•    Support the provision of effective and constructive feedback to GWO teams on identified deficiencies. 
•    Support periodic reporting activities, and assist in the ongoing maintenance and administration of documentation repositories (e.g., SharePoint) 
•    Participating in ongoing initiatives and projects, as required.

Education / Experience / Other Information 


Required 


•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or equivalent work experience 
•    Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in financial services, capital markets and/or consulting. 
•    Self-motivated, fast learner, with strong analytical and communication skills. 
•    Results oriented, and deadline driven. 
•    Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

 

Preferred 

 

•    Working knowledge of testing methodologies and risk and control analysis. 
•    Experience in audit, compliance, trade surveillance, operational risk, quality assurance and/or project management. 
•    Knowledge of capital markets and wholesale banking products 
•    Data and financial analysis with ability to manage large datasets – analytics skill, programming skills and/or knowledge of Power BI.
