What You Will Be Doing:

As a Staff Engineer, you are a senior individual contributor who operates at a system and platform level. You will drive technical direction, raise engineering standards, and enable multiple teams to build scalable, secure, and compliant MarTech solutions. You will play a critical role in maximizing the value of Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, AJO, Target, CDP , etc.), while also shaping long-term platform evolution, operational readiness, and developer effectiveness.

Is This Role Right for You? In This Role, You Will:

• Set and evolve technical direction for the MarTech platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and compliant.
• Act as a technical authority across multiple squads, providing hands-on guidance for complex design and implementation challenges.
• Design and review end-to-end architectures involving Adobe Experience Cloud and integrations with enterprise systems.
• Drive engineering best practices (coding standards, CI/CD, observability, reliability, performance, security).
• Identify and proactively address systemic risks, technical debt, and operational gaps.
• Lead deep-dive investigations into complex production issues and guide long-term fixes.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, and Compliance to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, raising the overall technical bar across the organization. 
• Influence technical decisions beyond your immediate team through design reviews, RFCs, and architectural forums.
• Stay current with advancements in Adobe Experience Cloud, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices, applying them pragmatically.
• Contribute to platform roadmaps, technical strategy, and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Support vendor and partner engagements from a deep technical evaluation perspective.

Do You Have the Skills That Will Enable You to Succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:

• Extensive experience as a senior engineer / staff-level engineer / technical lead, operating across multiple teams or systems.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Target, Real-Time CDP).
• Strong system design skills, including distributed systems, integrations, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience influencing technical outcomes without direct authority.
• Proven ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term platform health.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, security, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, impact-driven mindset.
• Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have 

• Adobe Experience Cloud certifications.
• Experience in regulated environments (privacy, consent management, data governance).
• Exposure to AI/ML use cases in marketing or customer experience platforms.
• Experience building or operating platform teams or shared services.
• Strong understanding of customer experience (CX) strategy and personalization.
