What you will be doing:

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Research drives the firm’s insight-to-execution engine. This role combines deep market intelligence, rigorous analysis, and strategic planning to identify growth opportunities, inform executive decision-making, and shape the digital-wealth roadmap. Partnering closely with other cross-functional stakeholders, the Senior Manager leads research initiatives, builds business cases, and translates insights into actionable strategies that advance the firm’s competitive position.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Continuously monitor the digital-wealth and fintech landscape for emerging trends, competitor moves, regulatory developments, and technology innovations.
  • Conduct research to surface unmet needs and market gaps.
  • Produce thought-leadership pieces, white papers, and briefing notes to inform executives and support external positioning.
  • Maintain an intelligence repository and distribute timely updates to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage a structured competitor benchmarking framework, including pricing, feature sets, and client experience.
  • Present scenario analyses on macroeconomic or regulatory shifts and their potential impact on the business.
  • Build data-driven business cases and financial models for new initiatives, products, or partnerships.
  • Lead client and market segmentation analyses to refine targeting and go-to-market approaches.
  • Partner with Wealth Solutions, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders as required to prioritize initiatives and align resources with the strategic roadmap.
  • Develop frameworks for measuring potential ROI, risk, and scalability of proposed initiatives.
  • Support annual and multi-year strategic planning cycles with market input and scenario analysis.
  • Coordinate post-implementation reviews of major initiatives to capture lessons learned and best practices.
  • Design scorecards and dashboards to track progress against strategic objectives at the initiative and portfolio levels.
  • Distill complex research and analysis into clear recommendations, dashboards, and strategic presentations for senior leadership.
  • Prepare board reports, presentations, C-suite briefings, and steering-committee updates on strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing timely, evidence-based perspectives on opportunities and threats.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input for major decisions, ensuring alignment between insights, strategy, and execution.
  • Build and maintain decision-support tools that track initiative outcomes and KPIs over time.
  • Champion knowledge-sharing across teams by creating templates, playbooks, and standardized deliverables for strategy projects.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 7+ years in strategy, research, corporate development, or management consulting, ideally within financial services or fintech.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research capabilities, with deep expertise in the North American wealth management space.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, with comfort working under tight deadlines on high-visibility projects.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
