What you will be doing:

The Senior Manager, Content & Social - Tangerine Business plays a critical role in advancing Tangerine Business by shaping and delivering high-impact content and social media strategies that build awareness, deepen engagement and support growth across the Small Business segment. This role translates business priorities into compelling, insight-led content experiences across owned and social channels, ensuring Tangerine Business shows up with a clear, consistent and differentiated voice in market. The Senior Manager drives strong execution, elevates creative quality and strengthens Tangerine’s brand presence through disciplined planning, data-informed decision making and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be:

  • Content & Social: 
    • Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
    • Develops and executes content and social media strategies, with a focus on supporting the growth of owned social channels through engaging always-on and campaign content.
    • Contributes to strategy and best practices across content and social, working closely with communications, customer care and marketing to support Small Business objectives.
    • Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify, refine, create and deliver social media plans and insights to help drive our business initiatives.  
    • Partners with Small Business stakeholders to translate priorities into clear, relevant content and social media plans for Tangerine Business.
    • Partners with the Scotiabank Centre of Excellence to advance the Listening and Analytics discipline and apply insights across content and social planning.
    • Shapes content marketing strategy by ensuring data and analytics inform content creation, including long-form and video content for content hubs.
    • Strengthens the enterprise social channel ecosystem by helping ensure channels work cohesively across the Tangerine footprint, including channel management and recommendations for new platforms.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including progressive experience in content marketing, social media, editorial planning, website content, digital tools, creative development and brand management.
  • Role will require a balance of strategy, delivering work through others as well as hands on keyboard for delivery.
  • Experience working collaboratively across marketing, communications, customer care, business partners and agency teams to deliver content, creative and social media initiatives.
  • Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into clear, engaging content for multiple audiences and channels.
  • Strong background in editorial and video content creation, including planning, briefing, reviewing and optimizing content across owned and social channels.
  • Strong ability to manage and develop relationships with multiple partners, influence without direct authority and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Authentic, decisive, resilient, highly collaborative and results-oriented, with sound judgment and the ability to work through ambiguity.
  • Experience applying brand standards and creative guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across campaigns, content hubs and social channels.
  • Experience contributing to integrated marketing programs, including campaign planning, content calendars, creative development, social activation and post-campaign learnings.
  • Experience using data, insights, social listening and analytics to inform content strategy, channel recommendations and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Google Analytics, Contently, Grapevine, PostBeyond and Sprinklr.
  • Experience supporting social channels and community management across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube.
  • Experience with platforms such as Workfront, Workfront Planner, Firefly or similar intake, planning, production and creative development tools.
  • Formal post-secondary education (or equivalent training). Comfort and confidence adapting to new tools and ways of working
  • AI fluency
  • A craving to contribute to a high-performing team
  • Ability to drive results in periods of change
  • Track record of fostering an inclusive culture
