What you will be doing:

The Senior Manager, Business Initiatives is responsible for driving the planning, execution, and delivery oversight of strategic initiatives that support the build and launch of Tangerine's Small Business Banking proposition. This role will steward cross-functional alignment across product, platform, marketing, risk, and operations to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on strategy, and with measurable impact.

Working closely with the Director and Tangerine Business leadership, the Senior Manager will play a hands-on role in advancing key workstreams, including product readiness, go-to-market execution, community and ecosystem development, and client migration planning. This is a player-coach role that requires both strategic thinking and operational rigour in a fast-paced, build-phase environment.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be:

• Strategic Initiative Delivery: Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-priority initiatives across the Tangerine Business portfolio, including product launches (deposits, lending, payments), digital platform readiness, and take-to-market activation. This includes goal setting, roadmapping, milestone tracking, and delivery oversight.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with business leaders and functional partners (Technology, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, Operations, Legal) to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and timelines. Facilitate structured working sessions to accelerate decision-making and resolve blockers
• Performance Tracking & Reporting: Design and maintain reporting mechanisms to communicate initiative progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership. Support the preparation of Board updates, executive summaries, and strategic briefings
• Strategic Planning Support: Contribute to the development and refinement of the Tangerine Business strategy, including competitive analysis, opportunity sizing, and alignment with Tangerine's broader transformation. Support ongoing strategy reviews and planning cycles
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including executives, to ensure ongoing alignment on the growth agenda and to support effective change management across the organization
• Quick Wins & Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive "quick wins" that build momentum, demonstrate early value, and support the phased rollout of the Small Business Banking proposition
• Governance & Risk Alignment: Ensure all initiatives are executed in alignment with Tangerine's risk, compliance, and governance frameworks, partnering with relevant teams to proactively manage risks

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, product management, or business transformation, with a post-secondary degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong business acumen  - A strategic thinker with the ability to combine the big picture, long-term orientation with an understanding of details and sense of urgency
• Highly analytical, ability to read and question financials
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and establish positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and team members
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and change management skills to ensure new initiatives and strategies are successful
• A positive and resilient personality. You must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement
• Comfort and confidence adapting to new tools and ways of working
• AI fluency
• A craving to contribute to a high-performing team
