What you will be doing:
 
The Senior Manager, Business Initiatives & Transformation Integration is responsible for stewarding the development of Tangerine’s integration strategy, with other strategic priorities across the organization including; planning and delivery oversight of integration of key initiatives and monitoring organizational performance to ensure alignment. This Senior Manager will support the Program Director of Tangerine’s organizational transformation project “Project Velocity”.

A key aspect of this role is to ensure the effective integration of parallel business initiatives into the broader transformation program, enabling alignment across sequencing, dependencies, and business readiness.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Drive integration and alignment of parallel business initiatives with broader transformation project, ensuring clear visibility of dependencies, sequencing, and impacts to business readiness and execution plans 
  • Organize and facilitate management sessions to enable strategic discussions and accelerate decision-making to solve business challenges 
  • Ensure all departments and functional areas are well educated on the Tangerine strategy and support their alignment through formalized action plans, while coordinating integration into the broader transformation project to ensure alignment across interdependent initiatives 
  • Prepare supporting documentation and presentations to drive interaction and the articulation of strategies for both the Tangerine and Scotiabank executive forums & boards, including integrated views of parallel initiatives and transformation progress 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives to ensure alignment on growth agenda 
  • Supports clear communication of Strategic plan and tracking of operational execution Support in designing, planning and delivery of Tangerine strategic initiatives ensuring alignment and integration with the broader transformation project milestones, dependencies, and business readiness activities. This includes goal setting, facilitating solution sessions, road mapping, change management, delivery oversight, and leading the coordination and facilitation of Program Increment planning event. 
  • Develop reporting mechanisms to communicate progress and insights to senior leadership, including integrated reporting across parallel initiatives and transformation performance to support decision-making 
  • Act as a central coordination point across business-led initiatives and the broader transformation project to proactively identify risks, overlaps, and opportunities for optimization across the transformation portfolio

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education, experience and industry knowledge 
  • Strong business acumen  - A strategic thinker with the ability to combine the big picture, long-term orientation with an understanding of details and sense of urgency  
  • Highly analytical, ability to read and question financials 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and establish positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and team members 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and change management skills to ensure new initiatives and strategies are successful 
  • A positive and resilient personality. You must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement
