What you will be doing:
Contributes to the overall success of the Tangerine Security organization by leading the identification, prioritization, and reduction of security risk across cloud and application environments. The Senior Cloud Security and Vulnerability Analyst plays a critical role in managing exposure across internet-facing assets and cloud platforms by driving vulnerability remediation, strengthening security posture, and partnering with engineering teams to embed security into solution design.
Is this role right for you? - In this role you will:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities across cloud environments, applications, and infrastructure
- Drive end-to-end remediation of security findings, ensuring adherence to defined timelines and risk tolerance
- Monitor and reduce exposure across internet-facing and business-critical systems
- Analyze cloud security risks, including misconfigurations, identity and access issues, and container security findings
- Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to implement secure design practices and remediation strategies
- Apply risk-based prioritization using factors such as exploitability, exposure, and business criticality
- Develop and report on key metrics to track exposure reduction and remediation performance
- Support audit, regulatory, and compliance activities as required
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security, vulnerability management, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms and security controls
- Strong understanding of security principles across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments
- Experience with cloud security tooling, such as CSPM, CWPP, and vulnerability management platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize risk effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as AWS, GCP, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, or CRISC are considered an asset
