What you will be doing:

The SEO Manager supports Tangerine’s business priorities by executing SEO/GEO strategies that drive engagement and growth. This role is ideal for a highly analytical marketer who thrives on data in a fast-paced, evolving digital landscape. The Manager will work collaboratively across teams and with external partners to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and execute optimizations that drive impact.

Is this role right for you?

Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics & Search Console; build clear dashboards and share regular updates on performance, insights and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership
Work closely with 3rd party partners to ensure high quality outputs across core page optimizations, digital PR, content gap analysis & content outlines & briefs
Collaborate with the content team to create and optimize content that aligns with SEO strategies and targets key audiences
Oversee the implementation of technical SEO improvements, including site structure, URL architecture and mobile optimization
Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify opportunities and industry trends; incorporate findings into SEO strategies to increase market leadership.
Integrate emerging AI trends into the bank’s SEO strategies, positioning the bank at the forefront of search innovation
Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices; share thought leadership and customers insights across teams
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

Minimum 5-7 years of SEO experience, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful SEO strategies
Highly proficient in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster tools, Google Analytics
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
Excellent analytics skills and the ability to interpret complete data sets
Strong time management skills and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize and drive initiatives within deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
Financial Services experience an asset
French language an asset
