What you will be doing:
The Manager, Sales Enablement is responsible for equipping Tangerine Advisors with the tools, training, and resources they need to deliver exceptional client experiences, while optimizing retention and acquisition opportunities to achieve sales objectives. This role focuses on creating an environment where advisors can confidently offer tailored financial solutions that will differentiate Tangerine as the leading digital bank in Canada.

- Project Execution
- Partner with advisory leadership to identify skill gaps and prioritize enablement needs of advisors.
- Design and implement enablement initiatives that align with the bank’s advisory model, digital tools, and client centric approach.
- Ensure programs are tailored to address complex financial products, regulatory requirements, and digital solutions.
- Optimize the Sales Process through process mapping to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Advisor Readiness
- Work closely with Operations, Product and Marketing teams to deliver a proactive Acquisition and Retention program, optimizing call routing to sales teams to drive new sales and retention of existing balances.
- Develop outbound calling programs and other sales-focused campaigns leveraging segmentation and propensity analyses.
- Work closely with the QA team to review/assess improvement opportunities (and complaint drivers) to support the coaching of front-line managers.
- Work with the L+D team to develop comprehensive training programs for the continuous education of sales teams including product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends for agents and managers.
- Analyze customer feedback to understand clients’ needs, challenges, and satisfaction levels.
- Use feedback collected to make continuous improvements to sales enablement initiatives and ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Advisor Training & Development
- Develop and deliver training programs on financial products, advisory techniques, and the use of digital tools to enhance customer engagement.
- Conduct regular surveys and interviews with Tangerine Advisors to gather feedback on culture, career paths, training programs, advisor tools and processes.
- Conduct periodic knowledge assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs.
- Stay updated on market trends, customer expectations, and compliance changes to adapt training programs accordingly.
- Technology Enablement
- Support the adoption and utilization of CRM systems, digital advisory platforms, and other advisor tools.
- Train advisors on leveraging technology to provide relevant client advice and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Insights & Performance Analysis
- Analyze advisor performance metrics (e.g., client acquisition metrics, conversion, dollars per call, product penetration) to assess the effectiveness of enablement programs.
- Conduct periodic advisor practices reviews to ensure teams are adhering to best practices.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership for continuous improvement of advisory strategies.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions with front-line advisors to refine resources and programs.
- General
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
- Ensure that all sales activities are compliant with relevant regulations, company policies, and sales practices.
- Responsible for managing sales process efficiently and implementing necessary improvements to drive productivity.
- Working in partnership across the organization with every business unit including: Product, Operations, Finance, Risk, IT and Marketing
- Building and leveraging external partnership relationships and establishing support from Scotabank’s Centres of Excellence where appropriate
- Tangerine has 2MM clients and is the largest digital bank in Canada.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Experience in sales enablement, financial services, or a similar role supporting advisory teams.
- Understanding of financial products, Wealth advisory services, and the digital banking landscape.
- Familiarity with CRM, campaign management, and workforce planning strategies
- Strong communication, analytical, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and integrate compliance into training.
- Certification or training in financial advisory (e.g., CFP, PFP, CIM, CFA) is a plus.
- Experience with data analytics tools to track performance (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of customer behavior in a digital-first financial context.
- Client-Centric Focus: Deep commitment to empowering advisors to provide exceptional customer advice.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to work across teams, including sales, product, and compliance.
- Digital Expertise: Proficient in integrating digital tools and strategies into enablement programs.

- Improvement in advisor performance (e.g., customer satisfaction, conversion rates, dollars per call, revenue generation).

- Reduction in onboarding time for new advisors.
- Feedback scores from advisors on training programs and resources.
