What you will be doing:
The Manager, Employee Engagement and Events plays a key role in strengthening connection, alignment, and culture across Tangerine. As a member of the Internal Communications team, this role leads the development of employee engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives that support organizational priorities and elevate the overall employee experience. The role also oversees the planning and delivery of key internal events—most notably our all-staff Town Halls—creating moments that bring our strategy and culture to life and support business goals.
In this role, no two days are the same. One day might involve organizing a welcome event to support an office move; the next, coordinating activities for a Day of Significance or partnering with Human Resources to deliver staff training. It’s a highly dynamic role that blends strategy and execution, offering meaningful impact, variety, and connection across the organization.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Employee Engagement: Partner with cross functional teams across Tangerine—including Marketing, Human Resources, and Community Leads—to develop and deliver engagement strategies that connect employees to key moments across the employee lifecycle, such as learning initiatives, change management, business launches, and enterprise priorities.
- Internal Events Management: Lead the end to end planning and execution of internal events, including town halls, leadership meetings, and product launch events, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all participants. Act as the key project manager, coordinating agencies and vendors across content development, facilities, and AV/technology.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams to define event goals, communicate plans, and gather input. Work with stakeholders to develop the agenda, consolidate content and create a ‘run of show’ to ensure smooth execution.
- Communications & Promotion: Collaborate with Communications and Marketing teams to develop integrated event and engagement communication plans, including invitations, promotional materials, and post‑event follow‑ups. Gather insights and learnings to continuously improve future events.
- Inclusion Planning & Support: Partner with Tangerine DEI representatives to develop and deliver inclusive employee engagement plans for days of significance, ensuring experiences are thoughtful, meaningful, and aligned with Tangerine’s values.
- Budget Oversight: Prepare and manage event budgets effectively, track expenditures, and provide timely reporting to leadership.
