What you will be doing:

The Director, Wealth Strategy & Research will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that shape the future of our wealth offerings. This role carries enterprise-level accountability, executive decision support, and stakeholder influence across the organization. The Director will serve as a thought leader, driving insights that inform product strategy, market positioning, and long-term growth.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be:

  • Define and execute the Tangerine Wealth product roadmap in alignment with business strategic objectives.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior executives, influencing enterprise priorities and business decisions.
  • Represent Tangerine Wealth in executive forums and prepare board reports, C-suite briefings, and steering-committee updates.
  • Work closely with market research and competitive intelligence teams to identify actionable insights to inform product development and business decisions.
  • Continuously monitor the traditional wealth, digital wealth, and fintech landscape for emerging trends, competitor moves, regulatory developments, and technology innovations.
  • Translate research findings into actionable strategies that drive innovation and client-centric solutions.
  • Develop and manage structured frameworks for competitor benchmarking, client segmentation, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build data-driven business cases for new initiatives, products, or partnerships.
  • Support annual and multi-year strategic planning cycles with market input, scenario analysis, and post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.
  • Establish KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards to track progress against strategic objectives.
  • Maintain decision-support tools and intelligence repositories for timely stakeholder updates.
  • Produce thought-leadership pieces, white papers, and briefing notes to inform executives and strengthen external positioning.
  • Distill complex research and analysis into clear recommendations, dashboards, and strategic presentations for senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners, and coordinate input for major decisions to ensure alignment between insights, strategy, and execution.
  • Champion process optimization, knowledge-sharing, and adoption of best practices by creating templates, playbooks, and standardized deliverables for strategy projects.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 10+ years in strategy, research, corporate development, or management consulting, ideally within financial services or fintech.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research capabilities, with deep expertise in the North American wealth management space.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, with comfort working under tight deadlines on high-visibility projects.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
