What you will be doing:

 

The Director, Content & Creative leads and oversees a team of experts in creative, content and social media marketing that enables and executes strategies and programs to help deliver on business objectives. The team includes content marketing, editorial, social media, social listening, copywriters, and designers, and acts as center of expertise across the Tangerine footprint. Ensures consistent brand identity and creative executions by providing stewardship to marketing teams and their agencies, and creative leadership across the enterprise. within Lighthouse. Helps to build center of practices and interaction models to enhance overall brand equity of Tangerine by establishing tools and guidelines that drive adherence to the Tangerine brand, while allowing flexibility where required.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Content & Social:
    • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
    • Leads a team of experts in content and social media, with a focus on driving the strategy and growth of owned social channels through engaging always-on/campaign content.
    • Helps drive strategy and best practices across Content and Social, working closely with communications, customer care, and marketing to support business objectives.
    • Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify, refine, create and deliver social media plans and insights to help drive our business initiatives.
    • Works closely with Scotiabank Centre of Excellence to design and expand the vision of the Listening and Analytics discipline within the department and organization
    • Leads the strategy for content marketing, ensuring data and analytics inform content creation (long form, and video) for content hubs.
    • Oversees the enterprise social channel ecosystem, ensuring channels work cohesively across our footprint. (channel management, opening/closing channels, new platforms)

  • Creative:
    • Reinforces adherence across marketing teams and agencies regarding the adherence to brand standards and guidelines. Consults on the development and application of brand visual identity.
    • Accountable for promoting and protecting the integrity of the brand across all channels by overseeing creative elements, including brand assets, image library, and illustration library.
    • Accountable for providing creative excellence across all design and production work by establishing clear creative talent and leadership, overseeing usage of Tangerine brand elements and assets, and ensuring quality, process and timely delivery for the production and distribution across all channels.
    • Continually drives creative innovation through early adoption/implementation of new trends and establishing curiosity for new technologies, platforms, processes, and ways of working across team.
    • Participates in the implementation and adoption of new platforms and technology for intake, planning and creative development.

  • Other:
    • Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates and models the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience, including experience with content marketing and social skills (editorial & content, social media, website content, and ability to use digital tools) as well as in creative and brand.
  • Experience in leading and building large teams, adept in attracting and motivating talent.
  • Excellent writing skills and an outstanding communicator.
  • Proven expert in managing and developing relationships with multiple partners.
  • Authentic, decisive, resilient, highly collaborative, and results-oriented.
  • Strong background in editorial and video content creation.
  • Expertise in building integrated marketing programs.
  • Expertise with Google Analytics, Contently, Grapevine, PostBeyond, and Sprinklr.
  • Expertise and experience managing social channels, including social community management across Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Experience with platforms like Workfront, Workfront Planner, Firefly, etc.
  • Formal post-secondary education (or equivalent training).
