As the Digital Product Owner, you will report into the Digital Product Lead and will assume end-to-end ownership for various product offerings by leading cross-functional teams to conceptualize, define and implement new features. Leveraging their ability to organize and motivate teams, you will work with product lines, Bank stakeholders, software developers and designers to translate customer journey directives into actionable backlog deliverables, and follow through to completion. You will also liaise with global, regional and local internal and external communications teams and marketing professionals to contribute to successful go-to-market strategy for various digital products.

 

Is this role right for you?

  • You will assist in the development of vision and roadmap for owning areas and create/maintain a detailed prioritized product backlog
  • You will establish a close relationship with the business to ensure their requirements are translated into the right digital technology products
  • You will work with engineering and design teams to determine feasible technical solutions and reasonable implementation timelines
  • You will gather and analyse customer feedback and use it to further improve the product
  • You will collaborate with marketing teams to build strong customer communication campaigns 
  • You will engage day-to-day with the scrum teams writing and clarifying user stories, participating in sprint planning and reviews, backlog grooming, and prioritization
  • You will facilitate problem-solving as required, working closely with design, development and delivery teams on implementation challenges
  • You will engage with analytics teams to establish, measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for new features
  • You will manage engagement with bank stakeholders and effectively communicate product release contents and expected product capabilities/customer journeys
  • You will maintain an understanding of the financial services industry and trends in digital banking
  • You will work 3-4 days of the week from the Scarborough location and 1-2 days a week from the Digital Factory in Toronto

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a similar role where you've managed a digital or technology product from end to end, all the way through to delivery 
  • You are a strong problem solver with the ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress
  • You have excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • You have a curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty
  • Your verbal and written communication skills are exceptional, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organizations
  • It would be beneficial if you have a Business, Engineering or Computer Science degree with related experience in product management & solution delivery 
  • It would be a bonus if you have experience in the financial industry and are fluent in Spanish
