The Senior Manager, Investment Distribution Management, is responsible for designing and executing strategies that support the distribution of equity mandates managed by Jarislowsky Fraser’s (JF) Equity Research team across SGAM channels. This role serves as a key connector between the JF Equity Research investment team and JF’s institutional distribution team, while also supporting other retail distribution channels, including Scotia JF Private Investment Counsel and Dynamic’s wholesale channel. The Senior Manager ensures that JF equity offerings are effectively supported, clearly positioned, and aligned with the needs of each distribution channel.

Product Support & Insights:
- Lead the developmentProvide direct support for the JF Equity Research team by developing persuasive, accurate and timely sales support materials and communications across multiple Scotia Global Asset Management brands, deliverables, and channels.
- Overall responsibility for the positioning of the JF Equity Research team, including the development of clear, concise selling points and marketing messages for all mandates based on their underlying value proposition; responsible for the development of thought leadership aligned to the team’s investment philosophy.
- Lead the development of product-specific materials and business development support, including briefing notes, product positioning summaries, and client presentation materials that translate investment insights into clear, compelling distribution narratives.
- Serve as a senior subject matter resource for marketing and product development partners, guiding the development of equity mandate updates and client-facing publications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and strong commercial relevance
- Represent Investment Distribution Management in strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects supporting the JF Equity Research portfolio management team and broader distribution priorities.
Portfolio Manager/Client Engagement:
- Partner with portfolio managers and the JF Institutional Distribution team as the primary distribution channel, while also engaging Scotia JF Private Investment Counsel, Dynamic, and other retail channels, to shape product positioning that resonates with target client audiences and supports AUM growth.
Sales Enablement & Relationship Management
- Responsible for the development of a comprehensive support strategy that builds, enhances and sustains knowledge and understanding of equity strategies (both listed/private) across the field.
- Respond to distribution inquiries and actively solicit input and feedback from partners on ways to improve support.
- Collaborate across Investment Management, Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Product Development & Innovation and other stakeholders in both leadership and key contributor capacities.
- Liaise with relationship managers with respect to the ongoing maintenance of existing investment dealers, including the organization of presentations to investment committees and boards as required.
Market Intelligence
- Lead market intelligence and competitive analysis efforts to identify trends, positioning opportunities, and risks across key equity mandate segments.
Performance & Reporting
- Track JF Equity team’s distribution performance metrics, including sales volumes, client engagement, communication and channel effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
Education, Professional Experience, Certifications and Skills required:
- 10+ years of experience working in the asset management industry;
- Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics or equivalent work experience;
- MBA and/or CFA Designation is an asset;
- Understanding/experience in financial markets, equities, and investment strategy;
- Detailed knowledge of financial markets and investment process / strategy and positioning;
- Strong understanding of institutional investment solutions/structures (Listed/Private) including separate accounts, collective vehicles, LPs, mutual funds, ETFs, and offering memorandum structure;
- Strong communication skills in French and English (written and verbal);
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks;
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with a proactive and resourceful mindset;
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Morningstar Direct, and Bloomberg is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours may be required. Limited travel domestically.
In addition to French, the successful candidate must also have sufficient knowledge of English, as the work involves interacting and collaborating regularly with groups and individuals based in Toronto, as well as constantly interacting with other people, including clients, who speak English, locally and elsewhere.
