Senior Manager Multicultural Marketing Contract

POSITION SUMMARY:


As Senior Manager, Multicultural Marketing, you will be a key team member dedicated to working in partnership with the Multicultural Banking Segment Team and business lines to deliver marketing support aimed at increasing customer acquisition in ethnic communities, enhancing profitability, marketing operation efficiencies and overall service levels. These would specifically apply to Multi-Cultural Marketing and other projects that the department may undertake from time to time. You will contribute to all phases of projects including advertising agency related activities and marketing operations management, with the goal of ensuring that the most beneficial and cost effective business solutions or system enhancements are employed to meet objectives. You will maintain contact with the Multicultural banking unit, the business lines, and often act as the primary liaison between your department and your partners on initiatives.




Key accountabilities for this role:




  • Contribute to the Development of Multicultural Marketing Strategies to Support MC Segment Initiatives:


    • Lead the development of multicultural communication strategies which supports the Multicultural Banking Unit initiatives and mass marketing campaigns/initiatives (e.g. Spring Lending and Fall Investment etc).

    • Manage the execution of content development strategies, working with internal partners and external agencies to meet agreed timelines and budgets.

    • Working with our internal studio and multicultural agencies, develop materials which promote a consistent Brand voice and messaging across all materials and channels.

    • Working with our Legal and Business Line partners, ensure that all legal, compliance and business line requirements are met.

    • Develop metrics and tools to report success of multicultural marketing initiatives.


  • Manage and maintain an industry leading online marketing resource site:


    • Manage an industry leading virtual marketing resource which supports domestic bank’s local area marketing, built around the needs of all users especially that of Multicultural focused branches.

    • Ensure integrity of the multicultural local area marketing communications.

    • Responsible for ensuring all multicultural marketing content are up to date and accurate. The incumbent is also responsible for leading the communication, publishing and maintenance of multicultural content.

    • Maintain a thorough understanding of Branch systems and constraints to ensure the virtual marketing site maximizes the technological capabilities available while respecting existing limitations.


  • Support various Department initiatives/projects:


    • Provide direct support to Branches in developing customized solutions tailored to their unique market needs.

    • Adjudicate non-standard requests and provide coaching to Branch management in development of local initiatives.

    • Participate in District meetings and activities, to address their multicultural communication needs.

    • Develop and execute recommendations for new development based on requests/trends from domestic delivery network.

    • As determined by the Director, Community Marketing and Employee Recognition, lead special department projects which may be assigned to the incumbent from time to time.


  • Contribute to the Strategic direction of Multicultural Marketing Initiatives:


    • Participate in the development of a Domestic multicultural strategy.

    • Act as a champion for the distribution network representing their voice in the development of strategies .

    • Through ongoing interactions with field staff, recognize opportunities and efficiencies and provide recommendations for applicable enhancements from a marketing communication standpoint.

    • Liaise with Branch staff to gather feedback and input into enhancing marketing effectiveness within Ethnic Communities.







QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Thorough knowledge of Cultural Marketing.

  • Advertising Agency experience (preferred).

  • Strong communications abilities, both verbal and written.

  • Strong Chinese communication abilities written both Simplified and traditional, spoken both Mandarin and Cantonese languages (preferred).

  • Working knowledge of retail banking organizational structures and methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of lending and investment products along with services policies and procedures.

  • Thorough understanding of automated systems and interfaces.

  • Working knowledge project management methodology.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Lotus SmartSuite applications.

  • The ability to exercise a high degree of judgment in resolving problems that relate to business issues, system methodology or service quality .

  • The ability to rationalize and articulate solutions and recommendations to the senior management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and challenging time lines.







OTHER INFORMATION:




  • The successful candidate will be able to speak, read and write Mandarin and Cantonese
